HOW TO APPLY

1.    Download the printable Financial Assistance Application and write in the information.
2.    Once complete, bring the FA application, along with required documentation* to one of our nine Central Stark County YMCAs.
3.    Once the application has been verified by our staff, we will inform you of the discount that you qualify for. Some applications may need extra time to review.
4.    You can earn up to 80% off the membership and 40% off programs.

*Documentation: To earn up to 80% off the membership, we need to review your entire household income using your most recent 1040 and 30 days of recent income for all wage earners in the household. Other forms that we accept include: 

  • Child Support
  • Social Security
  • Disability
  • Other Government Assistance

ON THE SPOT

Fast track your approval process with our On The Spot application option. To qualify for an instant 60% off membership costs, submit an award letter, along with your Financial Assistance Application from the state of Ohio for Medicaid, Food Assistance (SNAP), Child Care Assistance or Cash Assistance. Also, we accept HEAP (Ohio Home Energy Assistance Program), SMHA Housing Voucher and Ohio Head Start.
